115: gothic influences in Siena

One thing I like to do when I travel is to find the city halls. Especially in Italy these buildings seem to have had a central place in the towns and hence are often also nice to look at. And it perhaps tells something about the history of the place? Above a couple of close-ups of the “Palazzo Pubblico” di Siena, built between 1325-1344 it is an example of medieval italian architecture with gothic influences. The famous tower was simply not to capture 😉
